There's not a lot of people calling me 'Naz' nowadays. Only friends from high school call me that.
Beyond Diploma until now people call me 'Mi'.
And more special people from primary school will call me another nickname.
I didn't make these people call me all these nicknames.
It will be weird if that particular someone calls me by my full name after all years being a friend with them.
Anyway... Less than a week to submission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of thing happened this past one month. 40% of time went to the library but particularly I had some guest came over and stay at my house for few weeks.
It was a blast. I had a great fun. Seeing them leave the house made me a bit sad though because without them I have no friend huhu.
I know it will tough but looking forward to be officially be part of the family.

I went to my friend's house in Cheetham Hill this morning, to move my box for shipping by container. Went there a few times already.
So after done wrapping and moving boxes into one place, I was playing with his 4-year-old son. Both his family of 4 and I moved to Manchester almost a year ago. His son haven't got into school yet BUT he's able to pickup English accent. The local English accent. Through watching TV.
Unbelievable.
Before this I only heard from other people's stories, and now it is happening in front of me.
Before this I asked his son many times in Malay, he didn't answer me. Today when I asked him in English, he started to talk and play with me. I thought he was shy with me before. Unbelievable.
Talking about moving my stuff, it's two Fridays away from submission. I am nervous. Not sure about getting distinction as I really afraid I couldn't get proper discussion in my dissertation. Pray for meeeeeeeeeeee.
And no, I still don't know when is my flight to KUL. Don't ask!

When I was in high school, during Myspace days... I helped a friend of mine. Her boyfriend was cheating by sending comments to another girl and actually asked the girl to be his girlfriend. So I caught him even when they hide the comments. Can't remember how I told her though.
I copied and paste those comments into a single word file, printed and gave it to her. I showed to her those evidence.
After school ended in the afternoon, she, along her friends rounded him up and interrogated him. It was a tense scene! I saw them from far, waiting for my bus to go home. Not really sure what happen but for sure they broke up after that.
The thing is that guy also a friend of mine. Haha.
This story is just a random occurrence that I remember when I was taking my shower.
See, the power of taking shower!

Me, criticizing my own country and non-favourite people.. Of course in my head. Sometimes on twitter.
But me, still stuck and do nothing for my dissertation. Only structuring this and there. Google a bit, read key words, save PDF then come distractions.
Keep on procrastinate.
I am certainly behind schedule right now.
Motivation is right on the wall.

I've got to warn you, this post is a long one.
To commemorate the launch of LRT Extension from Kelana Jaya and Sri Petaling to Putra Heights, let's talk about it.
As has been announced on 2nd November 2015, Prasarana restructured fare for monorail and LRT effective 2nd December 2015 where the fares are based on distance of the journey from a station to another as they claimed that it is used in other countries. Looking at the fares table they also integrated Sunway BRT.
Types of fares that they are offering is token, cashless, weekly 7-days pass and 30-days monthly pass plus not to forget concession for OKU, senior citizen and students. Let's say I need to go KLCC from my home. USJ21 [KJ34] to KLCC [KJ10], each of the single journey fare will be RM4.20, RM3.70, RM3.40, RM3.10 and RM2.10. Obviously they encourage you to buy passes to save more. Looking at this I am pleased that students are able to save 50% of fares. For working class they really need to consider buying weekly or monthly pass to save. Every time passengers enter and exit the ride, they charges passengers. LRT, BRT and Monorail are integrated together but not bus.
I've been in the UK for almost a year and traveled around Europe. I am grateful to get a chance to observe their public transport here. To compare, let's include London, Lyon, Amsterdam and Oslo's public transportation network.
In London they have Transport for London which is part of Greater London Authority. It manages underground, overground, buses, trams, ferry and taxis. In terms of passes they offer a lot lot lot lot types of passes. From single ride to railcards to student to job seekers to senior citizens. The one I have right now is regular Oyster Card. It's like a Touch n Go card in Malaysia. Amount of money must be loaded in this card - like a prepaid card. It is a must have card because you can save by traveling with this card. Can be used on trains and buses. A very convenient pass but for fares it is different from one zone to another.
In Oslo public transport is being run by municipality-owned Ruter. It operates metro, tram, bus and ferry. They have a lot of types of fares - single tickets, 24 hours ticket, 7 days ticket, 30 days ticket, 365 ticket, supplementary ticket for additional zones, Rufus (kindergarten) ticket and Oslo pass for tourist and alike with free entrance to museums. It is not a prepaid pass. What I like about this is people can plan their expenses on public transport and it is really convenient since all the Ruter-owned metro, tram, bus and ferry fares are integrated together so you don't need to pay a lot more for each service. Just need to select type of pass, hop onto any service and enjoy your ride. You can check more info here https://ruter.no/en/buying-tickets/tickets-and-fares/
In Lyon there is metro, bus and tram network, second largest transport network in France after Paris. It has single ride, one day ride, unlimited night time ride and others. Their fare is simple. Just buy the pass and you don't need to have prepaid amount in the ticket because that's what you paid for. Just use it until the period is over!
In Amsterdam just like others above it operates train, tram, metro, bus and ferry. They offer number of passes such as 1, 24, 42, 72 hours pass, daily, weekly pass, season tickets, etc. There's a lot of them. When I was in Amsterdam I bought 24 hours pass, so I can use all public transport in 24 hours after validation. Meaning I validated the pass at 1.00pm so I can use it until 1.00pm at next day. This is convenient. The one pass that similar to Rapid KL is e-purse, which they charge by distance, but I don't think not many people use it.
One disadvantage to point - the thing with rail network in Europe, they trust passengers to buy the ticket and validate. There will be random check inside of the train. There's a time I rode a train, no one is checking the ticket. If I didn't buy the ticket I can get away with it. This can be seen with KTM in Klang Valley. If you get caught by the conductors, you need to pay a hefty amount of fine.
To conclude, comparing Rapid KL fare system to these 4 different public transport companies, we can see differences in terms of charges and use of pass. These European companies charge fares as you pay rather than charges after every ride - like a prepaid card. By doing this passengers can take advantage of using public transport a lot of times in certain period. Besides they can use different types of transport with same fare, for example in 24 hours. In case of Rapid KL it integrate into one line until you tap card at the exit point, but you have to pay again if you want to ride at different time in 24 hours.
So I do think that Rapid KL could do more in providing more flexible ticketing and fare system in the future. Maybe whenever MRT is operating soon?
p/s: Dear Prasarana, if by chance you are reading this post, your website http://www.myrapid.com.my is so slow...

Over the past eight months, I now realize that I'm a slow starter. I try every single time to start earlier BUT distractions - games and youtube - until I realized there is not much time left. Besides I don't catch things fast enough, so I will take sometime to understand something. But once I've got the momentum I can surely do it.
I've been delaying my work ever since third semester started. 3,000 words is still far to reach. I need to submit 24 hours earlier because I'll be going a trip that gonna send me chills.
Please Nazmi start now!

A little bit or throwback 7 years ago -
Yeay Congratulations Nazmi!
#236
I'm online using my friend's broadband. Yeay!
First of all, I hate Bahagian Pengurusan Fasiliti for canceling my event tomorrow night after all the works I've done includes inviting people, foods, backdrop, etc etc because of they will have a berbuka puasa event at Ipoh. -_- But I hope that my event will still on and whatever reason they may give I need at least 2-4 of their staffs tomorrow night. Haish! Amin.
Next, Nik Syukri Nik Hassan will be flying off to Ireland this Saturday midnight to further his study on Medic, according to Azri. The other day, Atiqah flew to Swiss. One by one gone fly... Rezeki dan usaha masing-masing...
When is my turn? Hmmm.
I still can't believe I made it here. Really have to thanks those people who inspired and pushed me to be where I am now... And now there's only dissertation left to do. I can do this.

Have been using Gorilla grip octopus tripod for few months now. Well I use it whenever I skate. Bought this for £3.79 from Amazon. Here's the link https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00V3CNHA4
Currently I'm using it with SJCAM. You need to have the frame to hold the camera and screw it on the tripod. Luckily SJCAM provided a lot of accessories. The screw at the top need to glued because if not the camera won't stay still. I think that's the only shortcoming of the tripod. The tripod can bend and hold onto most of the surface. I even hang it at the side of rail. The material of the base of the tripod is rubber so it won't slip. I think it will be harder if the rubber worn out.
I really like this tripod. So far there's no damage maybe because I'm not such a heavy user. Luckily this is cheap enough for me to buy.

I love wireless tech!
Bought this bluetooth earphone from Amazon for £10.99 here https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011ITGPHS
It's a Vansky G6 bluetooth earphone. Not sure where the company is from. Physically the earphone is excellently built and came with USB charger and some extra accessories. It does what it does. It can connect any bluetooth devices such as phones and computers. It has four to five hours battery depending on how you use it. The range is excellent. It can go beyond 2-3 meters with objects between with good audio. The audio is good but not much for me as it has thick bass which after I left that review on Amazon, Vansky emailed to me and kindly refund 20%. Thumbs up for that!
It can connect to two devices at same time. You can pick up calls using this earphone. It also have microphone located at left side of earphone. It annoys me that I need to manually configure settings when using it with my laptop. Maybe it's just me that I don't know whether there's a software that can control this thing. When using with computer the audio won't sound good when the microphone is switch on so I have to switch it off to listen better.
Well, this review is much longer than I did in Amazon haha.

Almost two weeks of Ramadan now. Majority of breaking fast meal I had is at nearby Pakistani masjid. They will always serve rice with dhal and a piece of onion fritters then some honeydews and dates. Sometimes it comes with pieces of chickens, sometimes with lambs or cows. Sometimes there will be samosa or honey crackers like picture above. It is so sweeeeeet.
Well, that's my meal for breaking fast most of time here in Manchester.

I've been using City Bike Liverpool whenever I step foot in Liverpool to go to the climbing gym near Bootle for the past 8 months. It is easy to rent and there are a lot of bicycle stations established in most of the spot in the city of Liverpool.
There are two bicycle sharing systems available in Liverpool, one is the green coloured citybike (https://www.citybikeliverpool.co.uk/) by Liverpool City Council and another one is the red coloured Bike&Go (http://www.bikeandgo.co.uk/) which backed by Merseyrail, Greater Anglia and Northern Rail. The one I always use is citybike. Never try Bike&Go so far because citybike is cheaper.
Citybike rent will only cost £3 per day. You can rent it for a day or weekly or apply annual membership. Like any other bicycle sharing system you can take any bicycle of your choice at the station and you can park the bicycle after use at any citybike station. To book you need to register first through their website.
Once you have select option you want and online payment have been made, there will be pin code for you. The pin code is needed to enter at the machine at the station when retrieving the desired bicycle. After that the screen will show the code for bicycle lock for you to lock at place other than citybike station. Make sure to write it down or take a picture of it just like I always do!
The bicycle is properly maintain but sometimes if you are not lucky there will be some problem with it such as the seat, gears, etc. So that's why you need to check first before enter your pin code at the machine.
Bicycle lanes/ cycle way here are certainly provides adequate facilities for the cyclist but cyclist have to share the road with cars and buses, sometimes pedestrians.
This is differ from Manchester, the place I live right now. They are undergoing major road redevelopment to provide road for buses and bicycle.
I know it is unlikely that KL-ites will enjoy cycling under the hot sun and rainy day. One thing can be done is that city hall should provide public bath in strategic locations or have a building regulation which provide bathroom in office buildings for staffs who cycle to work.

My back got hurt when I cut the models for hours. Plus I slept on the table so my neck position was not comfortable.
So to the people who want to take architecture, this course is tiring. Your presentation will only lasts 10 to 20 minutes but the process is really painful. If your partner is in architecture, please understand the nature of the industry. For me I can understand them because I am in the same field as them. But getting hands on with them, it was an experience that I'm amazed.
One more thing, if you wish to further your studies in architecture outside Malaysia and want to go back to work in Malaysia after your studies, you need to keep your portfolios and take exams with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia because the foreign universities are not accredited by them apart from a few top universities, cant remember which unis. I was briefed during LAM's visit to my University early this year. You can check it out here http://www.lam.gov.my/accreditation/list-of-recognised-programmes. The list may change after period of time. Whoever soon to be graduated in 2018 should be lucky to be able pursue working experience in Malaysia.
OH I CAN'T WAIT TO FLY THIS FRIDAY MORNING!
Ugh my back hurt again!
Nazmi
I made this. Muahahahaha
Since I came back from Liverpool and attended the last day of BIM summer school, I've been procrastinating for the past week. Last Monday, again for a day I went to Liverpool as a 'tour guide' for my classmate with his family. It was fun. Opportunity for me to be a tourist as well. Bought some tourist-y stuff. Since then Football Manager 2016, skateboarding and groceries shopping become my routine.
So I'm supposed to think of a title for my dissertation, starting in two weeks time. I still have little idea what the aim and objectives but for sure I'm gonna think around QS profession. Pretty nervous of this semester's result though. I think I'm gonna be fine but still... Oh, I should get my travel blog done. Two trips in waiting line.
Talk about travel, also in two weeks time..... I'm going for a weekend trip to North of Europe. I'm so excited, yet I have vertigo feeling, but I still want to do it. Hopefully the trip will be safe.
ALSO! Ramadan is coming. I actually tried to fast last Thursday. Sahur before 3am and breaking fast at 9.22pm. It was tough although I did nothing. Will probably need to do something outside of this little room to kill time.
I don't know how many times pimples appear on my lips this past six months... Annoyed.
Nazmi
Currently in Liverpool, already at the end of semester. I'm having fun making a model... A hospital building model scale of 1:100.
I brought my bicycle and skateboard along in the train, for £3. Bought it online. When bought it on train or the station it will cost more. Anyway, it was a pleasant ride, except that the train carriage I rode was not for bicycle, so I have to be at disable person area. They have space there. Thankfully only one person with wheelchair at final one station. It was nice.
Now I'm waiting for Liverpool triumph in Basel tomorrow night. It is said that there will be a celebration in this city so I'm really looking forward to it! If not, well, there's always next time. Being in the final is already a bonus to the team. But no better end than winning it!
Nazmi
I feel like I have blogged this before, but I'm just gonna write it now.
Men are disgusting in the toilet. Seriously. They don't know how to pee without spilling outside the bowl. Because most of the time when the toilet seat is down, there will be like some yellow-ish mark on it (ewh), so everytime I need to sit on it I need to wash it first and wipe it with tissue. It's that disgusting.
Plus I'm not sure if they even wash it after do it.
Oh ya, what about me? I am not like typical men who aimlessly pee. I do it discreetly. I care who will be the next person to use it.
Oh! Submitted my 6,000 words rubbish-hope-it-turn-okay-assignment in the afternoon. Another 3,000 words assignment due next Friday!
And oh! Yesterday probably was the warmest weather I've experience here. Hot and dry. Wondering how fasting in the summer will be like.
p/s: Picture above is just a random, does not represent anything at all. Can be seen at Chester.

Welcome back to "What's cooking, Nazmi?".
Well the other day I cooked a nasi goreng bujang Manchester!
Just throw in garlic, onions, sausages, and fishballs into the frying pan. Put the rice. Put in some salt and sweet soy sauce. Blend it. Put in some chopped chilies and frozen mixed vegetables. Blend it well again.
Taste it. Improve it if you must.
Prepare it!
Done!
Now I'm feeling really hungry. Right now at the language center's library with assignments.

Last night when I was watching Adam LZ's youtube video here I've found a new game called Geocache! Basically its a treasure hunting!
In order to play this, you have to download an app called Geocache and register an account. From there activate GPS then find nearest geocache near you! Although it gives you the location, you have to find the 'treasure' hidden in that area.
Today I've found one at Manchester city centre and it was a bit scary because thought of getting caught doing suspicious thing at busy street then the container is black in colour and people's fear of terror. Haha. It was raining too!
So I signed the log book and put it back the same place. I just realised that I wrote 2015 instead of 2016. -____- Oh well.
Anyway, this 'treasure' is for the basic users. There's also premium one, around £25 per year or £5 per month. The challenge is a bit more difficult than basic. Of course. You can try to look for The Geocaching Vlogger on youtube. He found some interesting stuff when geocaching. Anyhow I'm not sure to go premium or not but I think worth to try for monthly basis?
These treasures have all over the world too. Even in Malaysia, though not that many. So I'm really excited to find others!
Nazmi
Damnnn Nazmi, back at it again with another skate video!
Well this week I've been actively skating because the weather has been good and sunny. To appreciate the sun, I went out and skate!
So here is video number 3 of me skating at Birchfields Park.
andddd another six seconds video meant for vine but I don't really like vine's concept of 1x1 size so here it is.
Two weeks till submission for Lean module and three weeks for Sustainable!

Thanks to React, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LxPHYS60MA) I have a new series to watch called 12 Monkeys. Then it only took me about less than a week to finish 13 episodes of season 1. I was trying to watch it slowly but I can't take the curiosity in me.
The story is about a guy named James Cole trying to fix his future (and everyone else's) by going back in past by meeting a doctor named Dr. Kathryn Railly. Their mission is stop the breakout of a virus to all over the world. Obviously this is not an easy feat.
This series is based on 1995 movie called 12 Monkeys starring Brad Pitt which he won as best supporting actor at Golden Globe.
I haven't watch the movie yet but will find the time and mood to watch it.
What I like with this story is time travelling and.. I don't know... Apocalypse? And little bit of mindfuck thing going on.
Well I really need to start writing my assignments. But...
Season 2 is going to start this Monday on SyFy!
Ohhh and Liverpool beaten Dortmund 4-3 at Anfield!!!! 0-2 at half time but eventually made that come back!!! With unlikely scorer - Lovren!
