There's not a lot of people calling me 'Naz' nowadays. Only friends from high school call me that.

Beyond Diploma until now people call me 'Mi'.

And more special people from primary school will call me another nickname.

I didn't make these people call me all these nicknames.

It will be weird if that particular someone calls me by my full name after all years being a friend with them.

Anyway... Less than a week to submission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nazmi

A lot of thing happened this past one month. 40% of time went to the library but particularly I had some guest came over and stay at my house for few weeks.

It was a blast. I had a great fun. Seeing them leave the house made me a bit sad though because without them I have no friend huhu.

I know it will tough but looking forward to be officially be part of the family.

Nazmi

I went to my friend's house in Cheetham Hill this morning, to move my box for shipping by container. Went there a few times already.

So after done wrapping and moving boxes into one place, I was playing with his 4-year-old son. Both his family of 4 and I moved to Manchester almost a year ago. His son haven't got into school yet BUT he's able to pickup English accent. The local English accent. Through watching TV.

Unbelievable.

Before this I only heard from other people's stories, and now it is happening in front of me.

Before this I asked his son many times in Malay, he didn't answer me. Today when I asked him in English, he started to talk and play with me. I thought he was shy with me before. Unbelievable.

Talking about moving my stuff, it's two Fridays away from submission. I am nervous. Not sure about getting distinction as I really afraid I couldn't get proper discussion in my dissertation. Pray for meeeeeeeeeeee.

And no, I still don't know when is my flight to KUL. Don't ask!

Nazmi

When I was in high school, during Myspace days... I helped a friend of mine. Her boyfriend was cheating by sending comments to another girl and actually asked the girl to be his girlfriend. So I caught him even when they hide the comments. Can't remember how I told her though.

I copied and paste those comments into a single word file, printed and gave it to her. I showed to her those evidence.

After school ended in the afternoon, she, along her friends rounded him up and interrogated him. It was a tense scene! I saw them from far, waiting for my bus to go home. Not really sure what happen but for sure they broke up after that.

The thing is that guy also a friend of mine. Haha.

This story is just a random occurrence that I remember when I was taking my shower.

See, the power of taking shower!

Nazmi

Me, criticizing my own country and non-favourite people.. Of course in my head. Sometimes on twitter.

But me, still stuck and do nothing for my dissertation. Only structuring this and there. Google a bit, read key words, save PDF then come distractions.

Keep on procrastinate.

I am certainly behind schedule right now.

Motivation is right on the wall.

Nazmi

Over the past eight months, I now realize that I'm a slow starter. I try every single time to start earlier BUT distractions - games and youtube - until I realized there is not much time left. Besides I don't catch things fast enough, so I will take sometime to understand something. But once I've got the momentum I can surely do it.

I've been delaying my work ever since third semester started. 3,000 words is still far to reach. I need to submit 24 hours earlier because I'll be going a trip that gonna send me chills.

Please Nazmi start now!

A little bit or throwback 7 years ago -

#236

I'm online using my friend's broadband. Yeay!

First of all, I hate Bahagian Pengurusan Fasiliti for canceling my event tomorrow night after all the works I've done includes inviting people, foods, backdrop, etc etc because of they will have a berbuka puasa event at Ipoh. -_- But I hope that my event will still on and whatever reason they may give I need at least 2-4 of their staffs tomorrow night. Haish! Amin.

Next, Nik Syukri Nik Hassan will be flying off to Ireland this Saturday midnight to further his study on Medic, according to Azri. The other day, Atiqah flew to Swiss. One by one gone fly... Rezeki dan usaha masing-masing...

When is my turn? Hmmm.

Yeay Congratulations Nazmi!

I still can't believe I made it here. Really have to thanks those people who inspired and pushed me to be where I am now... And now there's only dissertation left to do. I can do this.

Have been using Gorilla grip octopus tripod for few months now. Well I use it whenever I skate. Bought this for £3.79 from Amazon. Here's the link https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00V3CNHA4

Currently I'm using it with SJCAM. You need to have the frame to hold the camera and screw it on the tripod. Luckily SJCAM provided a lot of accessories. The screw at the top need to glued because if not the camera won't stay still. I think that's the only shortcoming of the tripod. The tripod can bend and hold onto most of the surface. I even hang it at the side of rail. The material of the base of the tripod is rubber so it won't slip. I think it will be harder if the rubber worn out.

I really like this tripod. So far there's no damage maybe because I'm not such a heavy user. Luckily this is cheap enough for me to buy.

I love wireless tech!

Bought this bluetooth earphone from Amazon for £10.99 here https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B011ITGPHS

It's a Vansky G6 bluetooth earphone. Not sure where the company is from. Physically the earphone is excellently built and came with USB charger and some extra accessories. It does what it does. It can connect any bluetooth devices such as phones and computers. It has four to five hours battery depending on how you use it. The range is excellent. It can go beyond 2-3 meters with objects between with good audio. The audio is good but not much for me as it has thick bass which after I left that review on Amazon, Vansky emailed to me and kindly refund 20%. Thumbs up for that!

It can connect to two devices at same time. You can pick up calls using this earphone. It also have microphone located at left side of earphone. It annoys me that I need to manually configure settings when using it with my laptop. Maybe it's just me that I don't know whether there's a software that can control this thing. When using with computer the audio won't sound good when the microphone is switch on so I have to switch it off to listen better.

Well, this review is much longer than I did in Amazon haha.

Almost two weeks of Ramadan now. Majority of breaking fast meal I had is at nearby Pakistani masjid. They will always serve rice with dhal and a piece of onion fritters then some honeydews and dates. Sometimes it comes with pieces of chickens, sometimes with lambs or cows. Sometimes there will be samosa or honey crackers like picture above. It is so sweeeeeet.

Well, that's my meal for breaking fast most of time here in Manchester.

Nazmi

Nasi bujang sahur Manchester bebeh! How?

Cook 3/4 cup of rice first. Then prepare ingredients for omelette and for optional prepare some protein like I have here is meat burger patty.

For omelette use one egg, chopped red onion and onion, little bit of chopped chillies and a pinch of salt. Stir it and put it onto hot pan. Cook for at least 5 minutes anddd you're done!

Serve the rice with soy sauce, omelette and burger patty.

That's suhoor meal for me! I'm proud of myself after googling for a minute!

Nazmi
I made this. Muahahahaha

Since I came back from Liverpool and attended the last day of BIM summer school, I've been procrastinating for the past week. Last Monday, again for a day I went to Liverpool as a 'tour guide' for my classmate with his family. It was fun. Opportunity for me to be a tourist as well. Bought some tourist-y stuff. Since then Football Manager 2016, skateboarding and groceries shopping become my routine.

So I'm supposed to think of a title for my dissertation, starting in two weeks time. I still have little idea what the aim and objectives but for sure I'm gonna think around QS profession. Pretty nervous of this semester's result though. I think I'm gonna be fine but still... Oh, I should get my travel blog done. Two trips in waiting line.

Talk about travel, also in two weeks time..... I'm going for a weekend trip to North of Europe. I'm so excited, yet I have vertigo feeling, but I still want to do it. Hopefully the trip will be safe.

ALSO! Ramadan is coming. I actually tried to fast last Thursday. Sahur before 3am and breaking fast at 9.22pm. It was tough although I did nothing. Will probably need to do something outside of this little room to kill time.

I don't know how many times pimples appear on my lips this past six months... Annoyed.

Nazmi

I feel like I have blogged this before, but I'm just gonna write it now.

Men are disgusting in the toilet. Seriously. They don't know how to pee without spilling outside the bowl. Because most of the time when the toilet seat is down, there will be like some yellow-ish mark on it (ewh), so everytime I need to sit on it I need to wash it first and wipe it with tissue. It's that disgusting.

Plus I'm not sure if they even wash it after do it.

Oh ya, what about me? I am not like typical men who aimlessly pee. I do it discreetly. I care who will be the next person to use it.

Oh! Submitted my 6,000 words rubbish-hope-it-turn-okay-assignment in the afternoon. Another 3,000 words assignment due next Friday!

And oh! Yesterday probably was the warmest weather I've experience here. Hot and dry. Wondering how fasting in the summer will be like.

p/s: Picture above is just a random, does not represent anything at all. Can be seen at Chester.

Welcome back to "What's cooking, Nazmi?".

Well the other day I cooked a nasi goreng bujang Manchester!

Just throw in garlic, onions, sausages, and fishballs into the frying pan. Put the rice. Put in some salt and sweet soy sauce. Blend it. Put in some chopped chilies and frozen mixed vegetables. Blend it well again.

Taste it. Improve it if you must.

Prepare it!

Done!

Now I'm feeling really hungry. Right now at the language center's library with assignments.

Last night when I was watching Adam LZ's youtube video here I've found a new game called Geocache! Basically its a treasure hunting!

In order to play this, you have to download an app called Geocache and register an account. From there activate GPS then find nearest geocache near you! Although it gives you the location, you have to find the 'treasure' hidden in that area.

Today I've found one at Manchester city centre and it was a bit scary because thought of getting caught doing suspicious thing at busy street then the container is black in colour and people's fear of terror. Haha. It was raining too!

So I signed the log book and put it back the same place. I just realised that I wrote 2015 instead of 2016. -____- Oh well.

Anyway, this 'treasure' is for the basic users. There's also premium one, around £25 per year or £5 per month. The challenge is a bit more difficult than basic. Of course. You can try to look for The Geocaching Vlogger on youtube. He found some interesting stuff when geocaching. Anyhow I'm not sure to go premium or not but I think worth to try for monthly basis?

These treasures have all over the world too. Even in Malaysia, though not that many. So I'm really excited to find others!

Nazmi

Damnnn Nazmi, back at it again with another skate video!

Well this week I've been actively skating because the weather has been good and sunny. To appreciate the sun, I went out and skate!

So here is video number 3 of me skating at Birchfields Park.

andddd another six seconds video meant for vine but I don't really like vine's concept of 1x1 size so here it is.

Two weeks till submission for Lean module and three weeks for Sustainable!

Thanks to React, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LxPHYS60MA)  I have a new series to watch called 12 Monkeys. Then it only took me about less than a week to finish 13 episodes of season 1. I was trying to watch it slowly but I can't take the curiosity in me.

The story is about a guy named James Cole trying to fix his future (and everyone else's) by going back in past by meeting a doctor named Dr. Kathryn Railly. Their mission is stop the breakout of a virus to all over the world. Obviously this is not an easy feat.

This series is based on 1995 movie called 12 Monkeys starring Brad Pitt which he won as best supporting actor at Golden Globe.
I haven't watch the movie yet but will find the time and mood to watch it.

What I like with this story is time travelling and.. I don't know... Apocalypse? And little bit of mindfuck thing going on.

Well I really need to start writing my assignments. But...

Season 2 is going to start this Monday on SyFy!

Ohhh and Liverpool beaten Dortmund 4-3 at Anfield!!!! 0-2 at half time but eventually made that come back!!! With unlikely scorer - Lovren!

Nazmi

New card game - Backpacker. The game duration is quick. As you can see it need some calculation based on points scored in the game. This is a fun game. You can do evil stuff to your opponents in the game. Not too difficult to understand but you need time to understand the game and the flow. Can play up to 6 players.

And I need a rematch with my fiance.

Nazmi

The places I've been to in the last 3 weeks. Not in the picture is Netherlands and Paris. Not sure where to put these patches on.

It was hectic. Running everywhere with more-than-a-half century old parents. Making sure they are not out of breath and not too tired in a journey. It was tough but fun.

In another note, shit is getting real!

Nazmi

Hey ho! Currently my parents are in Manchester with me. So happy to have them here. Mak brought together kerepok lekor and keping and pie.... Really nice to satisfy my craving. And of course mak cooks here. Huehuehuehuehue

Now apparently my parents' jet lag affected my time of sleeping too. Mak always sleep early and wake up early then she will feel restless because have nothing to do while abah doesn't really care - he can sleep anytime.

It's been 4 days here. Will stay another two weeks traveling around Europe and UK!
