we got offer to perform on prom nite. so before we want to go to the summit hotel, we want to tune our guitar and bass first. then here come first tragedy - my guitar strap torn. haha. it's okay, we can borrow from the other band at the prom.
then we arrived for sound check. organiser was lying. here come 2nd tragedy - they said the guitars and bass are there but eventually no. plus there was uncomplete equipment. we dont have guitar pedals. thank god that we brought our own guitar and bass and Bunkface (hitz.tv blast off 3) were willing to loan us thier pedal and guitar strap. then the soundman (or PA system guy) slow down the guitar dissortion. what the heck?
after sound check, our drummer told us that the bass must be tune from bottom to top. that's 3rd tragedy. the bassist need to play new chord position.
then the organiser said that we are first to perform! we were like, "WHAT?!". so we tune the bass little bit before performing and then we perform. when we at the bridge part, the bassist 'kantoi'. he blamed amp that he cant hear what he played. it's not the amp fault but he was the one who not press the string strong enough. ouh what a shame! "dah la ada couple kat kanan and Bunkface kat kiri!" so we take 2. (4th tragedy!) we completed 2 songs: Hate to Say I Told You So (The Hives) and Answer the Phone (Sugar Ray) and got applause.
so we peformed infront of 100 people. and they captured our picture. please do not write our bad performance in your year book!
we thought that we're not get anything from the organiser but they let us eat for free. ouh thank you. duit tak dapat makanan pun halal laa!
so we're watching other bands performing while we're eating. they were Bunkface (Blast Off! 3), Kami Tak Kisah (friend of hilmi), Six (friend of KTK) and Couple. they were awesome.
at the end of the prom i bought Couple's album, Top of The Pop and Bunkface's demo album.
Bunkface were like, 'belilah, belilah." and I was like, "aku mmg nak beli demo korg pun".
and the were like, "ouh first buyer demo! first buyer demo! kamera mana kamera?!".
we took picture with them. and we went home.
