Continued from #480
As I was in deep sleep, I think I heard some noises thinking some people are coming in. Then there was another noise around 5am-ish. Then I woke up at 6.30am, getting ready. Shower and all. Then I asked my friend and yeah there were people coming in around 3 something flashing their torchlight to us and another person actually sleep in our room which came in later around 5.30am. So we get ready and had breakfast (french toast and hot tea), online for awhile and off we walk to Lavender MRT station as a starting point. When we were walking there is a cat sleeping on the picnic table. Can't help it but to pet him. Hihi.
So we walked from Lavender to Bugis MRT through Arab Street. Its actually not that far. We get to the last night place. We took the Bugis Downtown MRT line and stop at Botanical Gardens. Spent for like an hour or so at there. Saw some black ducks, turtles, etc pretty much like Gardens in Malaysia. The mat salleh kids running around there. By afternoon we took the MRT and stopped at Orchard Road.
The Road is amazing. They have a lot of shopping malls there. You can't cross the road. Have to use the underpass which is amazing. Saw some sculptures. We walked along the road and went to the Youth Park. A lot of graffiti. Continue walking straight to the skatepark. Rest for a few minutes. Then took a train to the ChinaTown from Somerset MRT.
At that moment my feet felt so tired and just wanna sit. But have to be strong. We only ate biscuits, chocolates and drank a lot of water. We walked around a bit and arrived a place where there are elders playing Chinese chess. I was so tired. Decided to sit around the chess place while my friend searching for a slipper because cannot withstand the shoe. Me, rest for 30 minutes, nap, and off we walk again feeling much better. Saw a Lomography Singapore store there near to the Pagoda.
I don't remember which MRT station we went after China Town but we were heading to the Promenade MRT station. Arrived there hoping for the water feature but it wasn't working. Head to the F1 track via Millenia Mall. The interior of the mall was not proportionate. The design is illusion. Arrived at the Singapore Flyer, the big ferris wheel I think its around $SGD30 or so. Walk along the F1 track and saw a couple of otter, lying on the sand under the beach. Don't know why they are there. Amused for few minutes. As we walk we were trying to catch up with them.
Then arrived at the Olympic Park and Helical Bridge. Saw the football field situated on the water. So cool. We walked into the Marina By The Sands. Was curious where the long escalator go. Fortunately curiosity didn't kill us. We went upper floor and there is a roof with walking deck. So nice. Amazing view too. Walked until the end of the corridor then there was this garden gate. From up there we saw a sucking pool at the ground floor. So nice. We walked through the garden then to the famous Marina Bay. Our destination is Gardens By the Bay. We've made it! Arrived at around 5pm. It was so windy and sunny. Love it. Went up to the suspended walkway at the Garden for $USD5. Worth it.
Went down, walked to the dorm to take a closer look. Many people were jogging and cycling there. Love the view. Then walk walk walk to the Marina Bay again. Rushing to the Raffles Place to meet a friend. Took MRT from Bayfront. Arrived at Raffles Place, again walk from there to the other side of the Marina Bay to watch the light show. If in KL its like KLCC one. Awesome lights and lasers. It starts around 8pm for 15 minutes I think. Then we walk from there to the theater. Saw some guy playing music. Listen to him for 10 minutes. Continue walking up until I don't remember the name of the mall. Too many malls! Had a dinner at Long John Silver. For a set of 4 (us 3 person only) only $SGD20. Super bloated. Happy tummy. Thought of eating our maggi that night but nahhh.
Went hostel around 10pm-ish. New guys in the room. Anddd sleep!
